How Carzon handles personal data when you use the mobile vehicle marketplace and related support services.

Last updated: August 29, 2026

1. About this Policy

Carzon is a mobile marketplace for vehicle listings and user-to-user communication. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Carzon processes, why it is used, when it may be shared, how long it is kept, and what choices are available to users.

Privacy questions can be sent to carzonsupport@gmail.com.

2. Data You Provide

  • account email address and account identifier;
  • display name and seller profile information;
  • phone number and optional contact identifiers such as Telegram or WhatsApp details when you choose to publish them;
  • vehicle listing information, including title, description, specifications, city or region, price and other listing fields;
  • listing photos, profile images, chat images and other uploaded content;
  • VIN and other vehicle information that you submit;
  • messages and attachments exchanged through Carzon;
  • support requests, abuse reports and report notes;
  • saved searches, search criteria and notification preferences.

3. Data Generated Through Use

  • favorites and saved-search activity;
  • listing views and product interaction records;
  • notification and alert preferences;
  • push notification registration tokens and related app/device metadata required to deliver notifications;
  • limited technical and security records produced by the service infrastructure.

Carzon does not request your device's GPS location. A city or region shown in a listing is user-entered listing information, not device-derived location.

4. Camera and Photo Library

If you choose to take or select a photo, Carzon may request access to the camera or photo library. Access is used only for the requested feature, such as uploading listing photos or sending an image in chat. You can change these permissions in iOS Settings.

5. How We Use Data

  • account creation and authentication;
  • publishing and displaying vehicle listings;
  • buyer-seller communication;
  • saved-search, price and other app notifications;
  • VIN, recall, vehicle-model and fuel-reference features;
  • support and privacy requests;
  • fraud and abuse prevention, moderation and user safety;
  • service security and reliability;
  • basic product interaction measurement such as listing views.

6. Public Information and Other Users

Information you choose to publish in a listing or public seller profile may be visible to other users. Private messages are intended for conversation participants, subject to moderation, safety and legal requirements.

7. Service Providers and External Data Sources

  • Supabase — authentication, database, storage, realtime and server-side application functions;
  • Firebase / Google and Apple Push Notification service (APNs) — push notification delivery and app/device registration information needed for notifications;
  • NHTSA vPIC — VIN decoding. When you use the VIN feature, the VIN may be transmitted server-side to NHTSA;
  • NHTSA recalls and EPA / FuelEconomy.gov — vehicle, recall and model reference information based on vehicle attributes such as make, model and year;
  • ANRE e-Carburanți and Sheriff — public fuel-price reference information.

Carzon does not send your Carzon account identity to ANRE, Sheriff, EPA or NHTSA merely because reference data is displayed. Data transmitted for a specific feature is limited to what is necessary for that feature.

8. Tracking, Advertising and Sale of Data

The current Carzon app does not use advertising tracking, IDFA or ATT-based tracking and does not show third-party ads.

Carzon does not sell personal data and does not use it for third-party advertising or remarketing.

9. Retention

Carzon keeps personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse or meet legal obligations. When an account is deleted, active account/profile data and user-owned marketplace content are removed as part of the deletion process. Limited pseudonymized moderation evidence may be retained where reasonably necessary for safety, abuse investigation or dispute handling. Generic vehicle, VIN-normalization, recall, model or fuel caches may remain where they are not maintained as an active user profile. Residual copies may remain temporarily in infrastructure backups according to provider recovery schedules.

10. Account Deletion

You can delete your Carzon account in the app:

Menu → Settings → Privacy & Safety → Delete Account

Some limited pseudonymized moderation records or non-account reference caches may be retained as described above.

11. Your Privacy Choices

  • edit or remove profile and listing information;
  • change notification preferences;
  • block or unblock users;
  • delete your account;
  • contact Carzon about access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction or other privacy rights available under applicable law.

See Privacy Choices for practical instructions.

12. International Processing

Carzon and its service providers may process data in countries different from your country of residence. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, Carzon relies on applicable legal mechanisms and safeguards available through its providers.

13. Children

Carzon is a general automotive marketplace and is not designed or presented as a children's service. If you believe a child has provided personal data in circumstances that should not have occurred, contact us.

14. Security

Carzon uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal data, including authenticated access, access controls and secure transport. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

15. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when the service or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted here with a revised date.
